Anne immediately begins to sing her answer of hope to me, and my heart lights up. “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood than righteousness,” the familiar melody of one of her favorite church hymns fills my ears. Anne is one of those people that feels like family after only a few days of knowing one another.

“Sometimes it’s hard to look around the world and feel so small in the face of all the issues. But God shows me the most incredible people, each holding a specific part of His heart to change the world… And it reminds me that He is bringing change to the world in a million different ways. It gives me hope.”

She recalls a friend on the front lines of helping women out of sex trafficking, another standing in the gap for those without a home, and the list goes on. No one else holds what God has placed in you; we are all so different, and He intended for it to be that way! It reminds me that there is so much hidden hope in every individual child of God and that we don’t have to do it all on our own.

So whether you are a stay-at-home mom, a businessman, a ski instructor, or an artist, each of us brings a unique expression of His heart into the world that reminds us of hope.
